Cosmo Bots takes its cue from the addictive classics Jezzball and Qix. However, that's where the similarity ends, because Cosmo Bots has different shapes for each level, 3D rendered graphics, digital sound, new enemies, and tons of power-ups. The free version features a full set of 50 levels to play, and does not require any special hardware.

In CosmoBots you try to fill areas of a board by sending out lines in opposite directions from your bot. You can choose to send these lines out either horizontally or vertically. Once you have boxed out an entire section, it fills in. The goal is to fill in a set amount of the board. With 577 levels there is plenty here to keep you playing for a long time.

A familiar game...

Pros: It is a great game for the strategic soft-core gamer that just wants a way to pass time during the boring hours at work or elsewhere. It had easy to follow instructions with fun little techno background beats that got rather annoying after about 2 minutes of gameplay. The power ups added a sense of accomplishment for killing the enemies and not just bypassing them and it made the game much more strategic, but still slow paced.
Cons: While there are 577 levels for you to slug your way through, they become painfully repetative and sometimes only the background changes and nothing more. The AI of the bots is spontaneous and the enemies don't seem to know you are there. The levels don't really get harder, just more annoying. They start to feel overly crowded and it is apparent that the games "577 levels!" were quickly thrown together. An online leaderboard would have made the game a little better, just so you could see if your waste of time was better than other peoples waste of time.
Cosmo Bots is a rather addicting game, but has a very familiar feel. In fact I believe I played it at one point on a cell phone in a game that came with the phone. For $17.99 you could easily find a...

Gameplay: Like Jezzball and Qix, Cosmobots takes from that simple gameplay to put a more sci-fi feel to it. Its a very simplistic addition however...there isn't really anything groundbreaking. Its...

Cosmo Bots is a menial game based entirely on point-and-click action; in that sense, the game is simple and brainless, a time waster in the spirit of online flash games. Yet even as a time waster the...
