Pros: -Plethora of different defragmentation methods -Improves slightly on standard features of common defragmenters
Cons: -Pricey compared to other defragmenters on the market -Doesn't integrate into Windows shell
I've had O&O Defrag for quite a while, along with Raxco's PerfectDisk and Diskeeper's defrag software. I must admit, PerfectDisk and Diskeeper do the job as well as, if not better than, O&O. O&O...

Pros: It is faster than expected and does its job thoroughly enough. It looks okay and is user friendly but keeps you well informed.
Cons: After using Windows defrag tool, more space seems to be freed up. The price could be lower, but it's worth it anyway.
I have to admit I haven't defragmented my hard drive for quite a while. This is partly because I have been having a weird problem with one of my drive - it could not be defragmented, in any way.There...

Pros: - Intelligent defragmenting method without much bothering your activity. - Surprisingly quick even when the free space very limited which in Windows would take at least double the time to defragment it. - Nice Interface and simple wizard for regular people but have quite advanced option for techie. - Put task for defragmenting to run automatically
Cons: - The price I think is better if lower than $40 - Have more option in wizard so enable different defragmentation method base on user usage/preference.
The installation is going pretty smooth with nice option to integrate to Windows shell or as default defragment software instead built in from Windows. With the tool tips, will help for newbie to...

Pros: Includes excellent features not found in Windows Disk Defragger; Simple to use; Good help files.
Cons: Does not offer enough new/distinct features to justify its price tag.
Let me begin with a quick lesson on how files are written to a hard drive. When you save a file, the operating system (Windows) writes the file to the hard drive. Optimally it would save the file in...
