- Might be a little slow for some users. - Limited functionality (these problems arn't very frequent, so you may only be paying for a one time problem fixer and might not have need of the program again) - Price may be a little high considering it only has one function.
As a dj, the most frustrating, yet important job is sorting out your music. When my Hard Drive crashed, I thought, 'Oh no problem, I made backups of my music! I am so clever!' that was until I realised that my purchased music could not be played due to iTunes encoding it with DRM protection. Furious, I went searching for answers, because there was no way in hell I was giving up the hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars I had spent on my beloved music collection. That was when I found SoundTaxi.
I had tried other programs that had claimed to do the same thing, so I was a little bit sceptical when trying it out, and it was a pleasant surprise. It removed all my musics' protection and allowed me to play them again with barely any loss of sound quality. I had never been happier, my career was no longer in jeopardy because of some stupid mechanism iTunes put in to preserve their own interests.
The user interface is simple and easy to use, simply add your music, select what output format you desire and it will begin churning out your protection free music in good time.
Granted, it took over 8 hours to decode and 'unprotect' my entire music collection, but this was hardly a large price to pay as I had a gig that very night.
