Review:

I've never really been a fan of Microsoft Voices, so when it comes to the reading rss feeds - it's not all that easy to understand.

NewsAloud is a software that lets you listen to your RSS feeds - iy can chack your RSS feeds, but it also has a list of News Feeds. However, there is a small problem with the feeds that it itself provides, as they strangely enough do not loads. I was, at one point, wondering if the software actually worked at all, only to find out that it only works with RSS feeds imputed by users.

The bad start aside, NewsAloud does its job... so-so, because, yes, it reads RSS text, but there are no options for the user to let the software read only the latest news (news not read before) automatically... and there's no option to customize your feeds by keyword or anything like that.

NewsAlous also does not look particularly nice, as the user interface is quite unattractive and, well, common. But it gives you the tools you need to get the work done.

Sure, I appreciate the fact that it can start up when Windows starts... but what's the point if it won't read only the latest news, or if it won't read them smartly... like only the headlines for top stories, etc.

Conclusion:

NewsAloud is a program that is most likely in it's first stage of development and requires more time to reach the level of usability and enjoyability that the user expects to receive.
