Review:

When I first saw this title, I was excited. I love tycoon and buisness sim games, and I was anxious to try my hand at becoming the next starbucks.

However, this game failed alot of my expectations. But, on a positive note, I still emerged from my coffee mogul experience pleased.

Coffee tycoon lacks the depth and detail that make other business simulations great, but does provide a simple gameplay model that is effective and will still give you a feeling of accomplishment when you open your 500th store.

Each day in coffee tycoon, you must allocate your workforce between three employee types. Baristas, who actually serve the coffee and collect customer's money, Managers, which attract more customers, and Executives, who push to expand the borders of your coffee empire even further. Therefore, you must adjust your workforce every day to match the needs of your company. Need more customers? Allocate more managers, and so forth.

Another interesting aspect of Coffee Tycoon is the various upgrades you can purchase. All of the upgrades have unique names and descriptions, but all boil down to more money, more customers, or more new stores each day.

Coffee Tycoon uses well drawn, albeit a bit cartoonish graphics. This style makes for a relaxed, semi-serious gaming experience that can be enjoyed by just about anyone. The music fits the game's atmoshpere, and the sound effects are simple and to the point.

Conclusion:

A fun, interesting little title reminiscent of "Lemonade Tycoon" that is worth your while if your a buisness sim buff like me, but just dont expect the kind of detail you would find in other games that fit this category. Thumbs up!
