Review:

Brave Dwarves II is a little known game; it's demo mode is available for free. The full version requires a payment of $18.
The demo allows you to use only one character; an old, wizened dwarf who can fire an unlimited amount of magical, blue colored bolts.
In this review, I'll analyze five main aspects of the game.

=Sounds/Audio
=Graphics/Video
=Controls
=Storyline/Plot
=Overall Gameplay

=Sounds->
The sounds in this game are disappointingly limited. There are no monster or enemy sounds; the only distinct sounds are the groaning and moaning of ghouls unknown, and of course, the ever-playing music in the background. Due to the lack of advanced sound in this game, I'd give this area:
2/5.

=Graphics->
The sprites/characters are 2D, not your latest 3D virtual technology. The graphics might not be the best, but they are manageable and do not unduly hamper gameplay. The sprites themselves are well animated and are not your typical amateur flash animations. However, due to dodgy 2D monster animations, I'd give this area:
3/5.

=Control->
The controls are the standard UP-Left-Right-Jump for Space controls. Though not unusual/creative, they seem to work for the game, and are just right for gameplay. The reaction and response time is fast, near instantaneous, and there are no lag ups. Hence, seeing nothing wrong with the controls, I'd give this area:
5/5.

=Storyline->
Truthfully, there is not much emphasis on the storyline. In fact, you'd be better off ignoring the storyline altogether, as it'll help you enjoy the game more. The storyline could be more developed, and be made more interesting. The storyline does not affect gameplay, and as they say, ignorance is bliss. However, over time, no storyline renders the game repetitive, and is thus a hindrance to overall gameplay.
Thus, I'd give this area:
1/5.

=Overall Gameplay->
The overall experience of the game is quite disappointing. While the controls and general attack/run away sequence is all very well, lack of emphasis on graphics, storyline, and audio spoils the experience.
Thus, I'd give overall gameplay:
2/5.

The developers need to put in more effort if they wish to compete in the mainstream games industry.

Conclusion:

Not worth your $18. Spend your money elsewhere.
