Review:

Because pretty much every tycoon and simulation game has been made already, developers have turned to more improbable scenarios off which to base their software; Moon Tycoon is another one of these. From Sim City to Rollercoaster Tycoon, one would only figure that the Moon would be next.

This improbable title has all of the traditional nuts and bolts of simulation games: manage a population, economy and some sort of industry, all the while expanding and creating more of a world to manage. Fortunately, this tycoon title carries a few pleasant twists to go along with these somewhat worn themes. The idea of tourism brings in an incentive to build something besides the ordinary (living space, power and airports, er spaceports), and lends the game a bit more depth.

Conclusion:

Moon Tycoon is by no means a revolutionary simulation, but has enough pleasant surprises and quirks to maintain interest. Get it if you have a love for the moon or space.
