Review:

This game starts out giving the user a feel of a good shooter arcade game. The more you play it, however, the more you will be aware of the repetition in the game. It is aptly named, "Alien Shooter", because that is all there is to this game. The monsters get bigger, and change color. And most importantly, you can buy bigger and better weapons, which will always make a game somewhat addictive to see what the new weapons can do.

To its credit, the creators do not try to give much of an impression of a riveting storyline or variety in action. It is exactly what it set out to be, a game where you shoot and kill aliens, and you do it for about an hour.

The survival mode is a great illustration of this intention on the part of the creators. If going through the levels, finding all the light switches, and waiting to receive money to buy new weapons is too much for you, you have the option to just stand in a field, and go through all the enemies and weapons for as long as you can without dying.

In the end, the survival mode may be more worth playing than the story mode. It has all the benefits of the story mode, but can be completed in much less time--if you survive.

Conclusion:

Good to play once. I would not personally play it again, because I know what the last weapon does, and that was the reason I got through it the first time.
