Review:

"Blave Dwalves 2" would have been a more apropriate name for this game, considering the targeted age.
Even with the starting level, the game proves to be a lot less than desired. the storyline is almost missing, but that wouldn't be a problem if the gameplay would stand up to it's purpose of delivering at least some fun or challenge. But the truth is the game mechanics are way too simplistic, the battle system is at least dull and boring, and the enemies won't really pose any threat. I don't recall ever dying while playing Brave Dwarves 2.
Not only it lacks true challenge, but the weapons and spells are also at least un-original(although they do have pompous names), the targeting system is totally missing, and the character moves and jumps in quite an awkward way.
If you manage to overcome this issues, then you will probably get nervous because of the graphics design. A shiny beautiful fantasy world might be the desired target of the level designers, but they should have concentrated more on "beautiful" and "fantasy" and much less on "shiny". The number of glittering items(useful or not) that crowd around on your desktop is sometimes overwhelming.
Moreover, the level design is at least unprofessional, as some levels have a huge intricate labyrinth. You will get confused wander around searching for the exit. There is a map, but it's useless as it only shows the part of the level you are currently in. Which you actually see while playing!
The sound part is also quite boring and a bit awkward, but it does try to copy some old style game music, which is rather nice as it will get boring and familiar but not annoying.
The truth is one could easily get annoyed while playing Brave Dwarves 2, but that would mean to miss the point of the game: an easy-to-use begginer level game for kids, set in a colorful fantasy world, with a very low level of violence.
If you are an adult wanting to play some good challenging arcade-adventure, find some other games, or stick to classics, like Interplay's 1993 title Lost Vikings(to whom I hoped Brave Dwarves 2 would resemble). If you have a hyper-active child who loves fantasy and colour, this game might prove a good choice considering he won't be too annoyed with getting lost around the obnoxiously designed maps.
