Review:

I've played a lot of solitaire over the years, and this is one of the best solitaire games I've come across. The variety the game offers is it's strongest point. Not only are there a ridiculous number of solitaire styles available, but you can download a very nice variety of new card sets from the Pretty Good Solitaire website. You can use anything from a traditional card set to a science fiction themed set. There are even special card sets for Thanksgiving, Christmas, St. Patricks Day, and others.

What really makes this game worth the money, though, is the variety of styles of play available. I'm sure most people who have played solitaire on their PC are familiar with free cell. To be honest, I'm a bit of a free cell junkie, so that was the first style I played with this game and it was great. After that, I looked through the 48 styles of solitaire available to find something I wasn't familiar with.

The game select screen provides all the information you need to decide whether you want to play a particular style or not. I chose one called "Demons and Thieves". Pretty Good Solitaire let me know that it is a 2 deck game which is easy and mostly skill based. A quick click of the "rules" button gave me all the information about how to play that particular style of solitaire.

Conclusion:

If you enjoy solitaire, Pretty Good Solitaire is an absolute must buy
