Pics Print Review

Seems like everyone's got a digital camera these days! We can get our pics within an instant, upload them to our computers, and do countless things with them. There is various software out there to enable us to work with our pictures, and much of it is free.

This particular program seemed pretty average to me, and not a very good value overall. Free programs like Picassa can do all the things that this program can. It also was rather unstable, crashing at various points or freezing up my computer. It was simple to use, and seemed fairly well put together overall, but it lacked the wow factor that would cause me to recommend it.

When it came to making greeting cards and other customized things with your pictures, it didn't feel very professional to me. It looked like just what it was : My face stuck on a folded piece of paper. If you're looking for custom greeting cards, I'd say get out the old scissors and glue. Its a lot cheaper, and the end result will be a lot better.

Other features it bragged about were things like sale sheets. If you had a Microsoft office package come with your computer, check out some of the programs in there. There's a few that have all the elements that this does, except with Microsoft quality.
