Radar Sync Review
Great Idea, Terrible Execution
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Great concept; Tiny download; Fast installation.
Horrible/buggy interface; Demo is only half-baked.
Radar Sync is on the right track: it is crucial to keep your drivers up to date in order to get the best performance from your system.
I installed Radar Sync with great expectations, hoping that I had found tool to simplify the tedious job of keeping my drivers up to date.
However, I was sorely disappointed after launching the program.
The demo version looks nothing like the screen shot. The user interface is elementary and buggy. I could not even close the program without using Ctrl-Alt-Del!
I punched the "Start" button and it ran a quick scan of my computer, searching for out-of-date drivers. It found a handful that needed updating, but that is as far as you can go, at least without paying for a subscription.
It reports what driver is out of date, what the current version is, and what the updated version is. However, without a subscription, you cannot click on the link to download the new version.
I also could not scroll down to see the rest of the report - another bug in the interface.
Perhaps the full version is a whole different story, but after such disappointment with the demo, I dare not plunk down $27 in fear of being let down again.
A tool to help keep your drivers up-to-date would be indispensable, but Radar Sync is not the solution.
