Luxor: Amun Rising Review
Luxor - Endless Chains of Fun
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Incredibly addictive, fairly good graphics/sounds for its genre, and flowing, smoothly designed tracks
Unoriginal, becomes slightly tedious and repetitive over time
Normally, I don't get hooked on many puzzle-based games (apart from Tetris and Bejeweled, both all-time classics). Luxor is one more game to add to that exculsive list of the top.
As many have probably commented already, 'isn't that game remarkably simillar to Zuma?', yes, Luxor is completely unoriginal in its game concept. However, I find Luxor definitely captures the essence of the game much better than Zuma has done.
Unlike many other puzzle games, Luxor is very simple to learn as a beginner, with its intuitive control and attractive interface guaranteed to keep you at your screen.
Gameplay is fairly simple, whilethe difficulty levels are suitable for all sorts of moods, whether you are tired and just chilling, or feeling hyped up and ready for a gruelling challenge. I was particularly impressed by the smooth flow of gameplay as well as the ingenious track designs.
The things that Luxor does best, however, are the little details that separate a good game from a great game. Namely, good graphics and good background music that does what it should - remain in the background, a rarity in many, many games)
All in all, Luxor is a great game that is certain to keep you glued to the screen for many enjoyable hours
