Cons:
Bad Presentation, Unoriginal
Review:

Crusaders of Space is not a bad game. It just isn't that original. It is your typical top down shooter like Space Invaders or Galaga. Aliens are once again invading the galaxy and you are mankind's only hope. (Or as the game says, you are the best pilot of all humankind.)

The presentation could use a lot of work. The opening menus are cluttered and cheap looking, for example. The in-game graphics, however, are quite good by 2d standards. The enemies are varied and each have their own pattern of attack. I don't understand why one particular alien species attacks in a fighter jet. The music and sound effects are good. No complaints there.

The gameplay is what you would expect from a Space Invaders clone. Shoot at enemies, dodge their attacks, and continue the cycle ad infinitum. Every now and then enemies drop upgrades to your shield, armor, and weapons. The games levels range from easy to challenging, so there's something for everyone. It's a good game to try out and spend some time playing, and I can see someone plopping down $15 for this title.

Conclusion:

If you love top down shooters, this is a good one to try.
