Betty's Beer Bar Review
Betty's Beer Bar, No thanks.
You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Addictive Gameplay, Hilarious Characters
Cons: Bad soundtrack, Learning curve, Poor animations, Glitchy, Weak narrative, Price is ridiculously expensive for the quality of this game.
The Game is your typical Diner Dash, Sushi game that doesn't really hold a flame to it's competitors. In the game you play a buxom, be it terribly slow moving woman who's dream in life is to open a bar in the Caribbean. Okay so even the storyline is generic but this game does have some redeeming qualities.
The Graphics although outdated are charming, the characters that you serve in your bar are quite hilarious. Serving anyone from nuns to criminals. It lacks a polished quality but almost makes up for it in charm.
The game play is addictive and as you play through the levels there are items to make your life easier, however there is a slight learning curve but the tutorial is helpful and useful. Overall though it has an unfinished feel.
There are obvious glitches in this game that should of already been ironed out pre-release. The repetitive soundtrack can be quite grating after a while but that isn't unique to this game. The cut-scene story sequences are poorly made and really fail to get me as the player to care one iota about Betty our protagonist.
However this isn't meant to be a deep game, So if your looking for an hour to kill with truly nothing else to do then give Betty's Beer Bar a go but only as a free game as this is truly not worth the asking price.
It's a forgettable, repetitive but terribly addictive game that's not worth the asking price and was barely worth the time I waited for it to download.
