Review:

Red Alert 3 was a long awaited sequel of the very popular Command & Conquer series, does it deserve it's place in the great franchise?
The answer: meh....
Why it's that?
The game provides a good campaign with a decent story and great characters but something is missing. The depth... the game is fun but EA has gone in a wrong direction when they decided to make the cartoony graphics and with the 3rd faction of the game which is The Empire Of The Rising Sun.These 2 elements would've worked just fine if the name of the game wasn't red alert 3 but we will get there a little later.
The game:
As i said the game has cartoony graphics but great ones.Maxed , the game looks amazing. The UI ( user interface ) is very intuitive and very well made which is a great thing for a RTS.There are 3 factions , The Allies ( Europe and USA ) , The Soviets ( Russia ) and The Empire Of The Rising Sun ( Japan ) and each of them has a unique campaign.
The campaigns are very well made with plot twist you won't expect and with a very good difficulty curve. 25 13
The game has a big amount of units and buildings ( 25 units and 13 buildings for every faction ) and the fight can take place on the ground,on the water , in the water or in air.Al the units have from 1 to 3 special abilities some of them allowing the units to transform from ground unit to air unit or the type of weapon. There are 3 "hero" units , one for each faction who also have special abilities. The game has a funny approach and the animations are cartooish but funny.
So whats the problem with the game? you would ask.
Well, exactly the things I said earlier, the game approach is very wrong and not suitable for the franchise.Even if this sounds a little awkward, this game could have been a "hit" if it's name wasn't Command And Conquer Red Alert 3.

Conclusion:

If you are not a fan of the franchise , you will love Red Alert 3 and you will spend many hours playing it online/coop/on LAN with your friends. If you are a fan of the franchise you could be a little disappointed of the direction the game went but you will still enjoy the hours spent trying to master it.
