Review:

To start off, I am no musical genius but I do love twiddling around with songs and beats. When I first used Virtual DJ I must say the interface was bit overwhelming. I feel the authors of the program found a way to cram every necessary tool and toggle into the main interface, but that can be looked at as both and upside and downside. On the upside, almost everything you need to start some basic DJing is right there in front of you; all it takes is some time, patience, and fiddling around until you feel comfortable with all the controls. The newer to DJing you are though, the longer it will take for you understand what is in front of you!

On the technical side, the program runs smoothly. From the first time I ran the program, it has never crashed, frozen, or lagged on my desktop. All the displayed tools function as they should and the sound quality is good. And the ability to include 3rd party plugins is great and allows for customization.

Conclusion:

Virtual DJ Studio is a great piece of software for those who are musically inclined. With a little time and effort you'll be cranking out beats in no time. But to those with little musical experience, don't expect this program to turn you into a DJ overnight.
