Review:

I wanted to convert a midi file into MP3 for a music composition project at school and looked around for some software to do this task and decided to use MID Converter because of its simplicity.

The install went without a hitch with it taking a matter of seconds for completion, it launched straight after install and without any nag screens like you get with a lot of unregistered software.

There are a number of formats that you can export to including all the major midi file formats, WAV (Windows sound file), MP3, Ogg and WMA. I needed MP3 in order to burn the composition to CD.

A folder list on the left hand side of the application meant that finding files was easy so the conversion was much quicker. Double clicking the MIDI file title provides you with a playback of the file within the program which is perfect if you have a lot of MIDI files and want to ensure you convert the correct ones.

You can control the volume of the song with a slider in the bottom right of the program window, it may not be a big feature but it is a nice addition which is good in this program, it is full of little features, like the option to change the tempo of the MIDI.

Conclusion:

Overall, I like the program, it is painless to use and does the job perfectly although the price seems to be a bit steep.
