Review:

I have been using Webroot Spysweeper for the majority of two years now. I can tell you this software is the best spyware eliminater on the market currently. Your probably wondering why I feel a little overconfident at this point. That is okay, I will explain to you in just a second.

Spysweeper was loaded onto my laptop when I bought it back in February of 2005. I had used the program on my previous Compaq computer some years before. What I love most about Spysweeper has to be that it is extremely user-friendly. I know many people that are not that computer-savvy, but they can figure out the basics of Spysweeper.

Spysweeper stays up-to-date with the option to always check for software updates and new product versions. All you have to do is click on "options" then proceed to the following bottons on the user panel. These are the options I find myself most often using. Other ways to stay in tune with what is going on in the world would have to be the "News" tab. Currently webroot just came out with a new product version and I just got done downloading that. It is a very user friendly program, and Spysweeper gives full directions on how to install the new version under the news tab.

I have just layed out some of the basics on Spysweeper, Now I will give you a deeper basic insight on Spysweeper.

When you open Spysweeper up there are various tabs you can access on the left side of the software program. We will start with the "HOME" tab:

Basically here you will find the product number and version. It will also tell you basic things such as when you had your last sweep, how many spyware traces your protected against, and check for program updates, along with definition updates.

On the next tab you will see the word SWEEP, here you can scan your entire computer for spyware and certain harmful cookies that need to be eliminated. My recommendation would be to scan your computer atleast once a week. I find myself scanning mine every other day just to be on the safe side.

On tab three you will find the remove section. This explains in detail all the scan results after you have performed your system sweep. It also will expain the risk of each spyware application on your computer and what exactly the program is when you click on it.

Next, is the results tab, it just basically goes over your scanning history, nothing too extroadinary here if you ask me. The quarantine tab is a place you might want to store some applications that your not sure about. So, just in case you make a mistake you can always go back and restore your computer to an earlier location. The shields tab lets you moniter what is really going on in your computer's knowledge database. You control everything down to what cookies are downloaded on Microsoft Internet Explorer. I prefer to disable cookies from downloading, so I get less spyware on my computer.

This covers the majority of what you need to know about Spysweeper, now here are some tips I will include to hopefully make your internet surfing experience a little more enjoyable while using Spysweeper.

1) It would be a good idea while your surfing the internet to use Firefox browser. I stay far away from Microsoft Internet Explorer. Firefox is way more user friendly, especially with Spysweeper you will find yourself with incredibly lower spyware on your computer. Oh, and by the way make sure you disable cookies while browsing. Cookies take up a big chunk of your hard-drive.

2) Perform a sweep atleast one a week.

3) Remember, check for new definition updated about everyday, Webroot is constantly updating their definitions to give you your money's worth.

I know this review is getting long so I will go ahead and wrap it up. I am basically saying I love this software and that is why I went ahead and bought the two year subscription. And they also have a satisfaction guarantee. Trust me, if you buy this you will NOT be dissapointed. After I bought spysweeper and actually used it my computer started to run faster, and spyware became a thing of the past.

Also, I know there are a lot of competitors out there that claim there spyware eliminating software is the best, and I can tell you Spysweeper is the one software program that beats them all. Why do you ask?

- First off, it catches all the spyware that all the programs do not.
- The biggest competitors are Adaware and Spyware Doctor, and they do not even catch all the spyware out there that Sweeper does.
-Sure, Spysweeper costs more than all the other programs, but their employees actually worked diligently to actually create something people would really be able to USE. I rather pay a company and support their growth in exchange for a product that will bring so much potential in the future.

Ok, I think I have presented my case accordingly. Just remember, there are a lot of imitators out there that claim they are better than spysweeper, but if you get a program for free just question "Am I getting what I Paid For?

Conclusion:

This is the best spyware eliminator hands down. Forget what everyone told you about the competitors, they do not know anything. Ad aware has nothing on this diamond in the rough.
