Very repetitive, random events are too random, little strategy involved
Review:

Although Coffee Tycoon sounded like a promising game, and I really liked the sound of it... it ended up being a very, very repetitive game.

First thing that you notice is that you don't really get to customize your game. You modify the number of employees (there are 3 categories) and buy upgrades to your facility and to your menu - that' ALL there is to it, no more no less.

The game is determined by two factors - the number of shops and the number of customers. If you've got loads of those, you've got more money.

Also, the profits that you get are determined by the number of baristas, managers and executives - if you manage to get the right combination of those, then you can avoid unpleasant events such as fires destroying your shops or competitors stealing your customers.

The bad thing about the game is that the events that occur during the game seem to be totally random - so it's like throwing a dice and waiting to find out what happens - there's no strategy to it and there's no way to prevent certain things from happening.

The game is ultimately fun for about 5 minutes, because the Coffee House looks nice and because you get to play with a couple of options, but after that it's a downward slope.

Conclusion:

If you like strategy games and expect tycoons to make you think, try and then feel like you've earned your profits (or losses) then Coffee Tycoon isn't what you're looking for, but by all means, download the demo.
