Smarty Uninstaller Review

Well in short, i think this is a nice software...by all means.

Smarty uninstaller is really smart and to find out how smart, i stopped the uninstallation process midway then restarted the application and it immediately alerted me that some uninstallation process was incomplete.

This program is actually quite smart. i think it creates some white list of all installed software and thus whenever you install new software, the program notices the change almost immediately.

The best feature however is the registry scanner. I find it rather ingenious that someone thought of a way to clear the nasty registry remnants that will bug ages after a software is uninstalled. Additionally, this tool checks for shrtcuts and their associations so that unsinstallation is a totally clean process.

I compared Smart Unistaller with the windows add/remove software tool and at first i thought it wasnt fast enough but what do you know? the first time you run it, it is pretty slow (probably as it creates a list) but adter that all relauches are amazingly fast.

However, one of the best features in my opinion is the application's abilty to "Force" uninstallation. Basically, some software are either maliciously tailored not to be uninstalled but Smart Uninstaller will handle them pretty well. Actually, i had some Photoshop plugins that wouldnt unistall because my Photoshop application was corrupt. But with Smart Uninstaller, all i had to do was sit back and let the smart thing do the job for me.
