Coffee Tycoon Review

From having played a number of tycoon games before, when i saw this 1 i thought i knew what to expect from it. But i was wrong, badly. It was a terrible game from start to finish.

When i opened the game i thought it looked well presented and that would resemble the game itself but as soon as the game started i realised that i had just wasted £10. It took me 2 minutes to realise it was going to be a repetition of pressing "End day" "Next day". And i was right.

So starting off in a small coffee shop with few customers in a city to mega company in an hour is apparently the time frame you can do this in Coffee Tycoon, now im not saying i want to it to take years but a sizeable amount of time, say 2 to 3 weeks. Not the type of game length i like. There is some nice features like deciding the menu and advertising but the graphics are appaling. There is no animation to be seen unless a few people drinking coffee can be called animation.

This game could have been made into a huge title in the tycoon genre but the producers messed it up. For a start there could have been masses of employees needed to share out jobs but instead they decide they need Executives, Managers and Baristas. Also the amount of changes in the economy and random events that happen make it unrealistic. Every couple of days the prices will change of coffee or another new competitor have some how found space in the area by you to produce yet another coffee shop.

This game is also aimed at the American game players so anyone from outside the US i wouldnt advise you to but this although i wouldnt advise people IN the US to buy it either.

So overall, Coffee Tycoon is a game to miss unless you feel like wasting your money on a whole 2 minutes of gameplay.
