Review:

SuperBot, a program designed to download full webpages and display them. It is supposed to give you a website that is comepletely offline viewable (great for dial-up users).

The file is only 2.5 megabytes, but after the 2.5 which is the program, it clutters you up downloading the pages.

When I got SuperBot I was thinking all all the useful things you could do with it. Display whole web-pages filled with exciting stuff, offline viewable and all in one easy package...A dream to any low internet payer, designed for the low internet payer.

But usualy what is perfect, is never quite right. Not on the internet at least.

SuperBot looks simple from the outside but it very technical on the inside, it has many many options such as whether to include your personal HTML, block certain things such as images, whether or not to store things in a folder and heaps and heaps of proxy options.

Big mistake, if you chose a website which has lots of pictures, links and posts and you walk away from your computer...Bang, there goes 100 Mb+ of your internet downloads (if you have a limit like 200mb this could be very costly).

And the worst thing about Superbot is that even when you get the website "offline" it has about 2000 files spread out like butter on toast all over the download distination...It doesn't even create a folder called superbot downloads, so what I suggest is that you make a foler called superbot on your desktop and download all the trash to there (if you ever bought this product).

It leaves jpgs, unkown files and .html files lying randomly around, so you can't tell what you're going to look at. It's crazy!

Anyway, I downloaded runescape.com, because I know it's a big website. Then I pulled the network plug out of the back of my computer (insuring there was no internet), I went into a random offline file it had created and clicked on a link, it said 'could not find www.runescape.com, this obviously prooves that it's offline capibility is very low and un-reliable.

Instead of testing crappy products like this one, I suggest you just opejn your explorer program, go to the page you want and click file->savepage as-> destination+name.

If this program were free, I wouldn't even bother getting it. This is a complete rip off for anyone who would actualy purchase this for $44.

Happy ONLINE searching!

Conclusion:

Complete disaster, DO NOT BUY!
