Review:

Agnitum has a winner on their hands with Outpost Firewall Pro. I have ran this firewall for well over a year and it has yet to let me down. Let's start out with the basics, installation is straight forward and quick. The GUI is easy to use and understand but at times Outpost can be a tad more advanced than some users feel comfortable with. Once you sit down and take the time to learn how to use it, everything will become easier. In the new 6.0 version things are a bit easier than the previous version. I would suggest getting on Google and searching for a setup guide, furthermore, give PC Flank WhoEasy a go; it gives you the ability to track the attackers IP.

Now on to the meat of the program. Outpost is very powerful and when setup correctly it can become the Fort Knox of firewalls. You can block certain ads, keywords, and even images of different sizes. Not to mention, Outpost has real-time spyware protection. On websites or even your email you can even block animated gifs, referrers, hidden frames, etc.

Now the best feature the firewall. Outpost will block whatever is thrown at it, including: port scans, IP address spoofing, Opentear attack, and RFPARALYZE attack to just name a few. Also with Anti-Leak controls make this firewall even well um hotter. You can also specify vulnerable ports that you would Outpost to keep an eye on. I can go on and on about how great Outpost is, but you have to be the judge for yourself.

Conclusion:

I you are in the market for a new firewall, I highly recommend Outpost Firewall Pro for its excellent security and low resource usage. Bottom line is you want the best then get Outpost.
