Review:

The game's premise is simple enough: build a coffee empire as you strategically divide the workforce into three (Baristas, Managers, Executives), upgrade the menu and the chain, and earn money and a big customer base while you're at it. It's simple enough to play and understand, and that's where the fault begins: it becomes too repetitive in its simplicity. Boredom set in quite earlier than expected and I had a sudden urge to quit the game for a cup of coffee. Stirring the real thing packs more satisfaction than playing the game.

The title window, with its catchy jazz music and whimsical graphics, deceptively gives you a hint of something wonderful to come ... and you wait ... and wait ... but it never materializes.

I actually enjoyed myself the first few minutes into the game. A few clicks to assign a percentage of the workforce to do this and that, maybe upgrade here and there, buy some new recipes, and you're off to another day increasing or losing money and customers. By the 20th or so day, I didn't bother with strategy anymore. Just some random clicks here and there, and the game plays itself. It would have been a fun game, but unfortunately, it gets old too fast.

Conclusion:

It's a great 10-minute game, but let's just say the one-hour trial is simply too much.
