Review:

Was there an error in the definition of this software? They called it "a screensaver", well I used it as a desktop and it worked fine maintaining all the gurgling bubbles and swimming fishes. Only
one problem though, it doesn’t perform as a screensaver if you have it a desktop. - I didn’t get to know why. Otherwise it works real fine as either of the two.

It is as liquid and realistic as they come. I may have come across several other screensavers of the same kind, but quite different in that you only controlled the number of fishes. Aqua real is more
flexible because you get to control the type of fish, and the colours of the aquarium and also the bubbles. In short, you get a beautiful aquarium.

Graphics (5/5):
(i) Background and foreground: What struck me most is the fact that one can indeed have two different colours, one on the foreground and the other in the background. It even get better, have different colours changing throughout in a timed manner just like in a synchronised slideshow or you can lock on one of your favourite colour.
>
(ii) Features: Nice work went into creating the features and especially the corals, they look stunning. With that being said the creators should have included some plants or molluscs, just to
make it more real.
>
Quite shocking is the fact that you can have the aquarium in the Windowed mode and still go on working on the desktop, in fact I have it right in front of me while I write this review on Notepad!
The only thing you don’t get is the gurgling bubbles; otherwise you still have the fishes swimming. Having a break? just click on the tiny aquarium and you get the bubbles on again...pretty cool.
>
Sound (4/5):
(i)Music: Having only ran the trial version, I sincerely can’t comment much on the music add on option, however the fact that one can incorporate his own choice of music in the screensaver is quite remarkable.
>
(ii)"Action" sounds: this touches mostly the bubbles and the frog. On one hand the gurgling of bubbles did indeed add life to the aquarium, while on the other hand I would have wished to have the option of choosing one, two or even three bubble streams as opposed to having only one available.

Navigation (5/5)
(i)Controls: Piece of cake. Two innovative as well as creative ways to go around this; either by right clicking the mouse or keying in F1. The former gives a pictorial tool bar from where you can customise / personilise your pets or get food for them. On the other hand by Keying in F1, you get a list of all the shortcut applicable, and just as good, they don’t hide the fishes behind them or stop them swimming. All shortcuts are simple to remember, no hassle on that.

(iii)Ease of use: Child's play.

suggestions; should have water plants as an option rather than having only coral and sponges. Again iS would have been better if bubbles came in different size. I mean we are talking of making it real, so why go short on some features.

Conclusion:

Good software, adds life to any boring / lifeless desktop, its is above average.
