Review:

I had bought this for a friend of mine since he dj's quite a bit, and a lot more than I do. He mainly still scratches with vinyl records, and he saw me using the Virtual Dj and became interested in the software. It's actually a really great software, perfect for beginners wanting to get the jist of scratching on your laptop and/or desktop.

The best thing about Virtual DJ is its super easy to setup and get going. Add music to your playlist and begin scratching. It feels as if your scratching the records yourself, when you scratch from the mini virtual vinyl scratcher. It has some awesome features as well, such as: hooking it up with other music players like itunes, and using your itunes folder for your music collection ready to scratch.

Some problems I had with the software after some use, I noticed it would get slower and slower, maybe because of all the music I had in the playlists, and sometimes even freeze, which was not fun.

All in all I would recommend this if you want to get started in mp3 mixing and looking for something cheap to help get you going and self teach the basics of mixing and recording your own music.

Conclusion:

Awesome for beginners and newbies at the mixing world or maybe to have some dj fun, but I would not recommend for the more serious Dj's, as there are better products out there. Like Scratch.
