Pros:
DBP is a lenient programming language that makes room for some "goof-ups," in other words you don't have to have everything right. The user friendly GUI makes programming and understanding this outstanding program a lot better.
Cons:
Although DBP is a powerful developing language, it is not as flexible as C++ or powerful for that matter, but with the new DarkBasic SDK, C++ better watch out.
Review:

I tried my hand at C++ a while back, when that didn't work out for me I came across DarkBasic Professional. Immediately I sent an order in, and what I received had me standing in awe.

DarkBASIC Professional is the most advanced games development package built on the BASIC language currently available. Which in layman's terms mean, it's kick ass. With the new update, that incorporates the support of Microsoft DirectX 9, you can seriously put some throttle behind your application and let go with it. Let your imagination go wild, because with this power, you can.

Now how about I cover some of the texture support? Well with the NVIDIA and ATI's powerful new graphics cards inspiring the DarkBasic team, they have implemented both pixel, and vertex shaders! You have full and direct control of these awesome hardware effects from within DarkBasic Professional. Pixel Shaders can be used to alter lighting and surface effects that replace artificial, computerized looks with materials and surfaces that mimic reality, while not using as much FPS.

The best feature of DarkBasic Pro, in my opinion, is the fact that all games and applications are License and Royalty free! So if you feel like it, you can sell your product and receive every bit of the profit!

You may be wondering, "Does 'Professional' mean harder?", well luckily for you the answer is no! To the DarkBasic team, "Professional," means that you receive all the features, with EXTRA ease. DarkBasic Professional will grow with you as you learn new development skills and extend your 3D knowledge, so you can unlock the benefits of the more advanced areas later.

And with the ability to accept 3rd party Dll's, even if you master all of the 1000+ commands on offer you can extend DarkBasic Professional with your own DLLs which allow you to create custom commands.

In Retrospect this is an amazing program of limitless potential, so it's up to you.

Conclusion:

A wonderful program that can develop executables such as games, and utilities, but is not limited to such. DarkBasic Pro does require some programming skills, but with the help menu I'm sure any of you could get a hang of it. So if you're in the mood for some utility making, game crackin' fun, then DarkBasic Pro is just for you.
