Pros:
Works well with Windows XP. Pro version has unlimited space but free version is adequate.
Cons:
Only 25MB can be created using program. But you can create as many as you want.
Review:

What I really like about Cryptainer is its low-fuss approach. After creating this virtual hard drive, Cryptainer mounts the volume on your computer much like any other hard drive. You can can set the size of the volume up to 2.0 Gigs and features real-time on-the-fly encryption and decryption. The freeware version has no limitations other than it can only create volumes up to 10 megs, and only supports a lower encryption standard.

You then enter a password to mount the drive and you can use this new volume like you would any other hard drive. You can copy files to it, open and edit files etc. Crytainer is not just a bloated password protection tool, nor does it trap your files in some wierd interface. You can access your information the way you always do, using the Windows interface.

The major drawback is the free version only gives you 20Mb "containers" unless you buy the full version; Also, the interface can be a little confusing at first; read the help files to use it well. The "containers" are not hidden from view, so you have to set the program to put them someplace where they won't be easily found. Study those help files first!

Conclusion:

Cryptainer is a easy to use, and great way to store your senstitive information. The easy of use and inexpensive cost make it a must have for your tool-chest of software that makes sleeping at night a little easier.
