Cosmo Bots Review

Gameplay: Like Jezzball and Qix, Cosmobots takes from that simple gameplay to put a more sci-fi feel to it. Its a very simplistic addition however...there isn't really anything groundbreaking. Its still the old over done 'take out as much land as you can' game as the others. The power ups you receive are typical; a few are, one that slows the enenmies down and another that gives more points, also, nothing new. That said, the music is a nice futuristic techno type with plenty of synth noises and sounds. That said, the game is still, very boring and overdone. This is quite sad though. The one thing stated in the game's description is that its similarity to Jezzball and Qix ends "because Cosmo Bots has different shapes for each level, 3D rendered graphics, digital sound, new enemies, and tons of power-ups..." Though in my opinion, i'd much rather play the other two games and even the free flash game Paxon than this one by a long shot.

Graphics: The game claims to have enhanced 3d graphics however, this graphics aren't much to cheer about. The creatures and interface look to have an old sega or super nintendo game graphic scale (IE: Donkey Kong Country). Its very bland and not very eye catching which adds to the overall snore the game gives the player.

Overall, this game fails to deliever anything substantially fun. There are probably options to kill time at the office than this game. It is definitely not worth its price with the free Paxon being available to play on your browser without downloading anything to your hard drive.
