Review:

Weave Words reminds me of one of those “world scrambler” puzzles (although you can go any direction), which are really not much of a challenge. Neither is this.

In the Classic game I started losing interest somewhere around the 12th level. Another game for kids, I‘m thinking, because even though you can pick what kind of phrases you want, this pretty much translates into a “Wheel of Fortune” degree of difficulty. Something beyond “Sigourney Weaver” and “paid volunteer”. (Isn’t that an oxymoron?) would be nice.

You get a “good” kudos for 3-letter words, “great” for 4-letter, “excellent or marvelous” for 5-letter, and a whopping “pick 2 letters” for six, and all of them in print. I want bells! I want whistles! I want the guy in the “Bejeweled 2” with the cooI Orson Wellian voice who says “Excellent!”

The music and sound fx are definitely lackluster, and the only way I could find to pause the game was to hit the option button. My cursor didn't seem to want to move at the speed I wanted it to. You win points, but you aren’t playing against anyone, so..

I took a crack at the Timed game but it just kept running out whether I spelled a word or not. At least the letters changed. I deleted the demo before even trying the Relax level; I was already half-asleep.

Conclusion:

As the Relax level states: “No rounds, no points, no stress”. No fun.
