Too many filters; could be confusing to the home user
Never thought this program could be this fun. The platform is very colourful, easy to use, plus most icons are accompanied by written headings.
150 filters and 16 conversion are just too many for the home user, was the program exclusively made for the professionals. If so them I would recommend it to them. Otherwise I did find the filters far too many and hence very confusing to the basic users.
One issue I found quite USELESS on the filters is the CROP, RESIZE and ERASE BORDER (both white and black). How does the user know the amount of cropping to do? All the decisions regarding these three
filters are left to the computer to decide. You have no control over them anyway anyhow! Does the Erase border actually work? I tried it on several photos but saw no difference between the original photo and the edited final one.
Another problem I found on the software is that the viewing windows of the platform are way too small for any sensible VIEWING. I couldn't make anything by viewing the photo on them. Have a separate viewing window and editing can be much better.
Consuming only 1.39MB the software is "light" on the available memory and bearing in mind the tasks it performs, then it is among the good ones I have come across in terms of 'use less make more'.
I found it tiring when the program kept asking for the Output folder. Can't it be programmed to store the edited photos in the original folder it got them from, or even in a specified folder rather than asking everytime?
In short, the software is good, it delivers, easy to use, but far too many filters. Remove some filters and some real stuff and it might easily sell for the $54 shown as the retail price, otherwise, the price is a little on the dear side.
Easy to use for the professional photographer, delivers good results.
