Review:

I'm sure others will say this game is much like one that was released about 2 years ago called Zuma and I have to agree. I loved Zuma, might have been because I was unemployed and my mouse would sometimes give me a run for my money. Let me explain. In both games Luxor and Zuma you have colorful "gems" that you "shoot" by using your mouse, breaking chains of 3 or more of the same colors and connecting other same colors and they explode and it's all fun and noise and graphics.

Comparatively Zuma was far more appealing visually with changing screens and mazes. Luxor offers only the same or similar screens all with the Egyptian theme (hence the name Luxor I imagine) and the "shooter" is at the bottom of the screen which can make aiming dificult in some of the configurations.

You can gain additional lives by saving up "ankhs" and there are ways to get more "gems" which make for additional points. Nothing happens when you have more points except perhaps a sense of pride, or something. So you might like Luxor if you liked Zuma or like me you may find it falls a distant second.

Conclusion:

Good to feed your ego if you've just lost a harder game.
