Very fast conversions, though the claim of "fastest the the world" is dubious. Relatively easy to use. Pleasant enough GUI.

Lenogo DVD Movie to iPod Video Converter is a very mediocre piece of software. There is little doubt that it does what is required of it - but nothing else, and it isn't all that pretty while its doing it.
I tested Lenogo DVD Movie to iPod Video Converter with two DVDs. They process was relatively straightforward, and complete in both cases in just over an hour, which is comparable with most other software I have tried with my particular computer setup. The videos played back flawlessly on my iPod, although file size was higher than I would have expected. There are some advanced settings available, but the online help was not particular helpful in that respect.
It would be helpful to have help files - at least for basic usage - stored locally rather than online as well. Software developers sometimes assume that all users have access to the internet, but that is clearly not always the case. It is especially important for developers of software such as this that is geared towards less sophisticated computer users that the help files be easily accessible.
There is nothing in particular wrong with the software, but for a price of $39.99, consumers simply expect more. It has one function - convert DVDs to iPod Video - and does it quite well. Unfortunately for Lenogo, a large number of other pieces of software convert DVDs to iPod Video just as well, at less cost and with more features.
The return for your investment is not enough to recommend this piece of software. It does exactly what is required of it, but a quick search will uncover a wide range of software options that are more fully featured and complete.
