Review:

Dungeon Scroll may not sound like a game worth your time, but don't turn it away. RPG and Puzzle fans alike will find enjoyment in most every aspect.

The player is put into a level (dungeon) where several enemies are brought to fight the player. Things like rats, skeletons, and other RPG-esque enemies are baddies you'll look forward to facing. The gameplay revolves around forming words from a set of what seem like random tiles. The longer and more complex the word, the more attack damage is done to the enemy. It is not unlike Scrabble, although enemies may drop powerups that are added to the tiles available and can be used at the player's discretion. For example, one enemy I fought dropped an "Oracle" powerup, which, when used, forms the best word possible from the letter choices.

The game does present a challenge, however. The player will be continuously attacked while trying to form his/her words. This simulates a timer to pressure the player. After an enemy is defeated, the player's health is moderately regenerated.

Conclusion:

I found the game surprisingly enjoyable. It's quality is good, and the price fits it well. Give it a shot. You can download a trial with a 30 minute time limit for free. So, what's to lose?
