You can buy it at RegNow for that price.
Pros:
This is a lean application (7mb), and does not appear to be a resource hog. The software scans the entire disk for lost files and also worked well with Vista Home Premium SP1.
Cons:
Pricey considering the lack of basic and advanced recovery options. You cannot restore data to a USB flash drive which I find very disappointing.
Review:

The application did not recover my password protected Word 2003 file after it was cleared from the Recycle Bin. Needless to say, I was not impressed by that. It did however find a couple of hundred other documents that were deleted recently by my wife.

If you are a minimalist and like to use lean software, then this app is for your. It weighs in at 7mb installed according to Vista and boasts a very plain and straight forward interface.

The time it took for me to attempt to recover my test file took over 1hr 30mins. It did not find my recently deleted password protected MSWord 2003 document. I was however impressed with the file preview feature for the documents that were found, that is nice.

I was also not impressed with the fact that I could not choose a USB flash drive as a backup location. This could cause problems for a technician charged with recovering data for a customer with a laptop on the fly. A USB flash drive is as important a Phillips head screwdriver and is handy when you can’t tote around the bulky USB external hard drive or access a network share. Also, with some more advanced options available, it could possibly shorten the recovery time. This software is lacking in that department.

Conclusion:

Three words that would describe this software would be: Simple, “Somewhat” Effective, and Low Fat. Let’s face it, not all data recovery is 100% successful every time. This would not be the sole tool I would use for data recovery; it would be another addition to the toolset I currently use. There are other products out there that do much more and are more feature rich. DOC Regenerator 2.11 is definitely worth a try though.
