Aqua Real Screensaver Review

My first impression once this software downloaded was yet another screensaver, which you can download for free, let alone pay $17.59 for it!

But as I strove deeper I began to see what additional features it, this software has many USP to its competitors, where it allows interaction with the fish through feeding, stroking and the adding of more or different fish. It leaves u feeling in a state of deep relaxation and your mood can be altered to your needs through the changing of colours.

Downloading this was very easy and required very little knowledge of computer not to mention almost zero time consumption.

The visual aspect is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, it keeps you drawn into the colours and relating back to my previous comments, leaving you in a state of calmness.

The attention to detail is very commendable; unlike bog standard screensavers aqua real screensaver provides a realistic element to the desktop, where it makes you feel like the fish are real. For example fish eyes blink every few seconds, mouth moves when eating, movement is exact mimic of real life fish and the sunlight is even visible on the seabed.

My criticism with this application is that the price is to deer for what it actually provides. Most screensavers can be downloaded for free of websites, however I feel that because of the price it will not attract the wider market, by lowering the retail price, it appeal to a wider genre of consumers and therefore increase the success rate and sustainability of the software for the future.

The layout settings look to basic, more attention and detail is needed to improve this. The logo is very eye catching and visually stunning, so the layout function should compliment so a professional software application is adhered to.

After increased time interacting with the software, errors became prone, where the screen and desktop programmes kept flickering which took away the stunning visual graphics which the software gives.

I provide below potential recommendations to consider adding to the software in order for the set purchase price to be justified. But also allowing the interaction of the software to be more unique and exciting, therefore increasing consumer interest.

• Another USP would be to have fish interact into the desktop screen (e.g. hit into it) showing a more real elements

• Customise Options limited: should add a health bar for each of the fish, telling when to feed or interact with them etc, making it more realistic like the consumers actually have a fish tank.

• Possibility of Naming the fish - with their name hovered over the fish so people know which one is which. Makes it more personal, consumers can relate to

• Rewards for treating the fish well can include: bonus features for the tank:e.g. Shipwreck, cave (so fish can interact with it), deep sea diver , prospect of more exotic/rare fish
