Review:

If you do any text editing, you need to try out EditPlus. It doesn't matter if you're working with HTML, Javascript, C++, or just plain text files, EditPlus is there for you.

Do you need to replace 1000 different URLs and then sort them? No problem, EditPlus supports Find & Replace with Regular Expressions, and even has a sort ability (with duplicate removal!).

Can't remember the keyword for setting the background in CSS? Look it up in the Cliptext menu and paste it right into your document.

Want to edit a web page and preview it in Firefox? EditPlus lets you not only view it seamlessly (in EditPlus), you can even choose to view it externally, and with any browser.

Editplus even supports uploading files to your FTP for instant publishing.

Don't like the toolbars or the buttons on the toolbar? Change them.
Don't like the font? Change it.
Don't like the keyboard shortcuts? Change them.
EditPlus lets you customize just about everything to your liking. From shortcuts and buttons, to the number of spaces in a tab, it's up to you.

Need to know how many words you've written for a 5,000 word essay? EditPlus can tell you with it's Word Count. This review was even written in EditPlus to track the character count.

EditPlus is a solid notepad replacement. At only $30US, it's at a price that is not out of reach, and is justified in it's usability. EditPlus has a clear and well documented help file users can turn to when they need to figure out any feature from it's massive list. Too often we see good tools passed over because of poor documentation, but with EditPlus, this is not the case.

I would recommend EditPlus to anyone, from a casual user, to someone who has been doing coding for years. Try out EditPlus, you will not be disappointed.

Conclusion:

If you're looking for a solid replacement for good old notepad, this is it. Trust me, you'll never look back.
