Outpost Firewall Pro Review

Outpost Firewall Pro is not only a firewall. It has many extra features including image blocker, pop-up blocker and Network Activity Monitor.

The installation of Outpost Firewall Pro was one of the easist I have ever experienced. By clicking Automatic, you don't have to fuss around with the detailed adjustments. When I set it on Automatic, it scanned every program and assigned rules. You can change the assigned rules later on for maximum customization. These customizations are very hard to adjust and it is a nightmare to change it back.

This program has many features for advanced users which seems too much for novice users. You can adjust the allow or don't allow the ping responses. I noticed that it doesnt hog as much memory as other firewall programs such as Mcafee and Norton and that is a great PLUS.

For customization and compatibility, this is the best out of the series. Outpost Firewall Pro now features different modes. Stealth mode is useful and works okay, but not better than many other firewall programs. A new feature is entertainment mode, which doesn't bother the user when playing games or watching a movie. I love this feature since it is a must have for gamers.
