Review:

Now, were Brickshooter one of those free online games I see scattered about the internet all too often I'm sure I would have given it a much higher rating, as in that catagory it would have ticked all the boxes - easy to pick up, playable in short bursts, and simple, yet lovable graphics. It has, however, a price tag of around $20, which to me seems absurd, giving there are an abundance of similar games which are playable for absolutly nothing, and so I have rated it a 2 out of 5.

The gameplay itself very basic, with the instructions explainable within 2 lines of text, and this is all fine and good for the first 10 minutes as it allows you to get straight in and playing without any faffing about. After about 15 minutes though, it dawns on you that there isnt actually anything else to this game apart from line up 3 of the same colour blocks and it is going to be exactly the same even if you get to level 999999 ( If it even goes that high). So again, this would be fine if it were free where you arn't expecting any more than a quick 10 minutes entertainment, but not when you are paying for it.

On the plus side it did require me to use my brain and plan ahead ( At least after my first attempt when I realised thast clicking the blocks randomly was not going to work), but this quickly turned into frustration as it became near on impossible do ( Though this could just be me), and was not helped in the slightest by the irritating music playing on a loop in the background.
