Review:

Pretty Good MahJongg strikes me as the generic MahJongg game interface. Although it gives a good deal of options, this can be seen as a positive or negative. On one hand, you have many different game types and various choices available; however, I find them to be too many, and it just makes the game more confusing than it has to be.

Also, quite a few of the options just seem like different buttons which do the same thing (or something very similar). A lot of the actions available just seem unnecessary... such as the snapshots feature, and the select game option within the game, which asks you to choose a random number for a new game type, when you can go right back to the main screen and choose it for yourself. I don't think anyone... even the most intense MahJongg player would use all of the options and game types available.

Additionally, the game graphics and color scheme are incredibly bad. At least considering the fact that we're now in 2009 and no longer in 1995 with Macintosh computers and the original Windows. For over twenty bucks, I would definitely better graphics. It's still MahJongg so it's addictive and fun, but I would rather just play MahJongg for free at a gaming site online.

Conclusion:

Pretty Good MahJongg is just like any other MahJongg game... except more expensive. However, it will probably sell fairly well simply because MahJongg is so addictive and people that love it will buy anything having to do with the game.
