Review:

I wonder what they improved upon Dungeon Scroll 1.0 to make 2.0. This edition of Dungeon Scroll and Dungeon Scroll itself is an awful game. The concept was interesting but was not implemented well in a computer game format.

The first problem I encountered was that the game used up the entire screen and didn't allow for it to be minimized so that it could be paused and returned to, etc. This lack of a feature also didn't allow for the pixelated, low-quality graphics to be improved upon.

The only thing that I liked out of the entire game was the concept. The concept of creating words from jumbled letters to be used in an rpg format was interesting but it wasn't developed enough to become a game that I would want to play during my downtime. The game seemed to be centered around creating words rather than a developed story line, or quality graphics.

I found a few problems with the game-play. First, that the monsters were low quality images that had no animation. They were more comic than anything else and were quite random creatures. I found that creating words themselves were sometimes hard in that not many sets of letters had many vowels. Another downfall of the game I found was that there was almost no difference between levels. Also, the upgrades and things that were found throughout the game were random and made no sense. All of these things made the game uninteresting.

Conclusion:

If I were reading this review and considering buying this game, I would save my money and buy a scrabble board instead.
