Review:

When you’re feeling bored and want some colorful flashing lights and cheesy music to keep you entertained, grab a copy of Twistingo and start clicking. In case the slogan didn’t give it away, Twistingo is Bingo with a twist. What’s the twist, exactly? The fact that you’re on the clock to get a Bingo before the demon eats your Bingo balls. This is not your granny’s Bingo game.

The plot itself is meaningless, but who really plays computer games for the plot anyway? Save some cute, fluffy and slightly demented looking animals from an evil wizard by playing Bingo. Got that? Good, now forget it because it’s not important. There is only one skill you need to win Twistingo: match numbers and do it fast. The game’s got a whole handful of tricks up its sleeve to throw you off and make you forget this simple skill you probably mastered at a young age.

Let’s get down to the technical stuff. The graphics are good, the detail and color looks nice even on the average, non-gaming computer screen, and it loads at a decent speed. It features auto-save after every level and provides a story mode or a time trial mode, the latter in which you cannot get a game over.

The game starts out easily enough, and it seems the game is letting you win. All you do is click the matching numbers on your Bingo card and, let’s face it, it’s not like your card is going to change mid-game. The first few levels are the equivalent of doing your taxes online while a Tiki band wails in your ear. Further in, the game introduces some more challenges such as faster speeds, exploding bingo balls, and others balls that all have something to do with blowing things up. Explosions are always good.

Conclusion:

Twistingo is by no means revolutionary. If you want to kill a few hours at work, go for it. Players who like games that don’t present too much of a challenge, offered by favorites such as Bejeweled and Collapse, will enjoy Twistingo. Just don’t expect to do any deep or mind-altering thought on your part. Count, click, rinse lather and repeat.
