The only negative thing I can say about Registry Mechanic is that it does not update it's databases as frequently as other programs I have used, but it still seems to catch most errors.
I have been using Registry Mechanic for about 3 years now and I can safely say that it is an extremely effective registry cleaning product.
It has a variety of different features, including the registry scanner (obviously), a system optimizer, registry monitoring, and registry compacting.
First things first. The registry scan picks up a majority of the registry problems on my PC, but more importantly you can trust that the problems will be fixed safely. I have used other programs that find more errors than Registry Mechanic, but when they fix them I end up with some problems opening programs and updating software - things like that. I never notice any significant changes with the system optimization but it is a nice feature. Registry Monitoring is also very handy because it prevents you from having to scan your registry every time you add or remove a program and other actions that modify your registry. To top it all off, in case anything bad should happen as a result of the registry cleaning, you can easily undo repairs made by this program.
Registry Mechanic also allows you to open a lot of your computer, security, and system settings from their menus which means you don't have to go searching through your computer to find things.
Registry Mechanic is a great product that I highly recommend. It is safe and fast and effective, with only one minor deficiency (updates).
