ZoneTick World Time Clock Review

ok, I have to start out by saying that i only got this because it was gift, now honestly I don't really know what to do with it, basically all this does is tell you what hour it is in different parts of the world.

Now it also gives you the possibility to have more than one clock open at the same time and it gives you the opportunity to minimize it to the tray, and to have a direct connection to the internet which will always give you the correct time, the application also has a built in automatic daylight savings time changer, very useful to those who tend to forget things.

I don't really know though how this could be of any use, the world clocks are already sold in small applications for most cell phones and 17 bucks for this software does seem a bit steep just so you can know what time it is in Botsowana while you're in New York.

Sure it does give you the opportunity to link a name to that time zone so you know when it is appropriate to call in a different part of the world (i guess it can be useful at first for people with business partners across the globe).

Personally though i wouldn't reccomend it to everyone, one thing i found it useful for though was for ebay. Since there are millions of sellers from all over the world it is useful to know exactly when the auction will end (by setting an alarm clock based on the sellers' time zone) without having to check the site every hour and without having to do lots of counting (and miscalculations) which could result in you missing the auction deadline.
