Review:

Alawar's 1001 Nights: The Adventures Of Sindbad is not a great game of hidden-object genres (HOG). Anyone who is trying this genre for the first time might like the game, but a pro will find it rather boring. The story goes around the great Sindbad the sailor, his wonderful adventures and how he found his love. The game is packed with monsters, alien enemies in wild locations. The objective of the game is to find the gems of the crown of princess Chalida to rescue her from the curse that has entrapped her in a wooden body.
As the game is a HOG you will see a location and a numerous objects to find. At the bottom of the screen, hint words will be listed. When you have found the objects you must click on them for that to vanish. There is neither time limit in this game, nor any negative points for clicking incorrectly. There is also a hint and if you click it you can see where that item is hiding, but you'll need to wait for some time before using it again.
The objects which are needed to be found are easily placed and I bet you won’t need the hint. Once you start playing the game you won’t even look at listed objects to be found. The objects which are to be found are distinctive than the others and there are no negative points for selecting a wrong object. And even if you need a hint, then there is a glow from the object to be found. The choice is not given to turn this off which might take away the fun if you are an ardent fan of HOG genre.
As a HOG game you can expect some riddles to find the objects. Besides this there are also some mini games which are quiet enjoyable. But they are also set at a very easy difficulty level. There is also an option of skipping these mini games.

Conclusion:

Alawar's 1001 Nights: The Adventures of Sindbad has around 29 locations with Arabian music set at a very easy difficulty level which might become quite a bore. If you have not tried a HOG genre you might start out with this one as alawar is offering at a 30% discount on the game.
