Review:

Age of Castle's is a typical tycoon/empire building sort of game.

The graphics are kind of basic and the sound track is on a very short loop. Better scenery for the different levels and music not on 5 minute repeats would go a long way to spicing this up.

However, the game is very easy to learn to play (no boring tutorial to wade through) and hints are given at the end of each "day". The "days" or turns in the game progress rapidly, so you don't have to wait around to see what happens next. Unlike the games claim that there are "Thousands of random events! No two days are the same!", in the eight levels I played there several days that were direct repeats of previous events.

Overall, this is one of those addicting sort of games, since you want to see what happens next. The simple graphics make is quick to load and even faster to save. The storyline moves rapidly from one event to the next and there are enough different things happening in the "days" to keep you busy while waiting for the turn to finish.

Conclusion:

A fast paced, addictive, error free simple game for those let's do something mindless days. Slightly high priced for the graphics and soundtrack quality, but better than most things out there.
