INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE DANIUSOFT DVD RIPPER

Step1: Download or purchase the Daniusoft DVD Ripper program (see Resources below). Run the installer program and follow the directions on screen to install the software.

Step 2: Launch Daniusoft DVD Ripper and insert the DVD you wish to rip into your DVD drive. Cancel or close any auto-run dialogs or programs that run automatically.

Step 3: Click the Load DVD button and select your DVD drive in the dialog that pops up.

Step 4: Select a format from the Format drop down. The format must be correct for the device with which you intend to use the encoded video. If you intend to watch the video on your computer, any of the formats will work but choose the highest-resolution format from the list for best quality. For the ultimate format, select the "Lossles DVD Copy" option. This will remove the video from the DVD without re-encoding but can take considerably more space than an encoded video (up to 9 gigs).

Step 5: Select subtitles. If the movie is not in your native language or some portions require subtitles, select a subtitle track from the Subtitles drop down.

Step 6: Select an audio track. Some DVDs have multiple audio tracks for multiple languages or optional features such as developer commentary tracks. Select an audio track from the Audio Track drop down.

Step 7: Select titles and chapters to rip. If you don't wish to rip the entire movie from the DVD, you can select the titles you wish to rip by putting a check mark next to the titles you wish to rip in the pane on the left. If you wish to rip only certain chapters from that title, click on the + next to the title and put a check mark in each chapter you wish to rip.

Step 8: Crop the video. If the aspect ratio of the video does not match the aspect ratio of the device you intend to play it on, you can crop the video so it will take up the entire screen. Click on the Crop button to open the cropping dialog. When you're finished selecting your cropping options, click the OK button.

Step 9: Click the Start button to begin ripping and encoding. This process will take some time.

Step 10: Copy the encoded video to the video player you intend to use it with. Refer to that device's documentation for directions.

Conclusion:

Daniusoft offers a trial version, but to get full functionality you must purchase the full version either in CD form or as a download
