The voice sampled at 8 KhZ is problably a bit robotic. But all is all is a good product.
The At & T voice reproduction software is a great value, but it is a bit expensive: you can now add the voices to your purchase or other text to speech software.
The minimum processor needed is a 300 MhZ processor with a 128 MB of memory avalaible and a free space in the hard disk of about 500 MB. Consider that if you use this software at its best, and I mean with a voice quality of 16 KhZ sampling, it requires 1GB free space into your hard disk. YOu may aloso play MP3 and WAV files without problems and the reproduction is good, as I tested directly after dowloading a free trial version from this blog's links.
It is a reasonable software to read text out loud. It enables a text to speech function in microsoft word processors; it is not compatible with Linguatech's Voice Reader Studio which cost a lot more.
