Review:

Acronis True Image Home 2010 is mainly a system backup and recovery tool. The UI design is extremely sharp, following the Windows Vista and 7 glass effect. All tools and commands are accessible and easy to use. The navigation menu from the left side of the main window contains the following categories:
- Home
- Backup
- Recovery
- Tasks & Log
- Try & Decide
- Tools & Utilities

As you can see beside the backup and recovery parts, some other useful tools are available. For the backup part, you can protect your data or your system by creating backups which you may choose to be stored online or locally on your hard drive or other removable media. A boot disc can be created for restoring the system when it is down. You can choose to back up some files, the entire system, your e-mails or your applications settings. Another feature called Nonstop Backup can be enabled to save any system state every five minutes.
Recovering the system or your data from an existing backup file can be as easy as choosing the file from its location (removable media, online) setting the recovery configuration (settings like recovered files new location) and clicking "Finish".
The Tasks & Log module let you manage your operations and provides a planning utility for further system protection through setting scheduled tasks.
A very interesting feature is the Try & Decide module. When activated it creates a temporary virtual workspace where you can try everything without damaging the system. If everything is OK and you want to keep the changes you're free to do so, if not the temporary files containing the dangerous circumstances is simply deleted.
The Tools & Utilities module provide support for boot time recovery, disk cloning, secure data destruction, file shredder, system clean-up, image mount and others.

Conclusion:

Over all Acronis True Image Home 2010 is an efficient and helpful tool especially for protecting your operating system and recovering it in minutes if down.
